More on a Contract Standard This is a continuation
of work already posted to the Contracts Workgroup on
a standard for the representation of Contracts. We show
the use of this standard to represent time dependent
activities: e. g., one party must complete their action
thirty days after the other party completes theirs.
We discuss risk handling by a method inspired by exceptions
in Java. And, there is small section relating this standards
to mappings between other XML and Operating Rule Markup
for e-business communities.

Connecting XML-Based E-Commerce to the Electronic Court
Filing Systems This project exchanges XML-formatted
data for business-to-business e-commerce. A XML-formatted
purchase order is transferred from customers to an Orcale8i-based
business database via Internet. By using the XML SAX-based
Parser of the Oracle XML Developer's Kit (XDK), the
purchase order is parsed and used to update the database.
Based on certain rules, a set of databases are queried
and a XML-formatted pleading is generated via the XDK
Class Generator. The generated pleading is to be transferred
to the court via the Internet.
